Refund policy

Last updated

This is a starting template, not finished legal advice.

It describes how refunds actually work on this store, but consumer law around digital goods differs by country and can override a policy like this one. Have a qualified lawyer read it against your situation before the store goes live.

Why refunds are not automatic

A purchase here is not a file waiting behind a download link. When payment clears, Tebex grants the resource to the Cfx.re account you were logged into at checkout, and it appears in Granted Assets in the Cfx.re portal. From that moment the resource can be downloaded and installed, and code that has already landed on an account cannot be unseen.

That is why refunds are assessed case by case rather than granted on request. It is not a way of avoiding them. A resource that does not do what the store page says it does, or that never reached your account, is a problem worth fixing with a refund, and asking costs you nothing.

Cases that usually qualify

  • The purchase went through but no grant ever appeared on the Cfx.re account used at checkout, and it cannot be delivered.
  • The same order was charged more than once.
  • The resource has a fault that stops it doing what the store page describes, and it cannot be fixed within a reasonable time.

Cases that usually do not

  • The resource works as described and you changed your mind after downloading it.
  • The resource was bought for a framework or server setup it was never offered for.
  • The resource stopped working after it was edited, or after another resource on the server was changed.
  • A feature you expected is not on the store page and was not part of what was sold.

These are the usual outcomes, not a refusal to look. Nothing on this page removes rights you have under consumer law where you live.

How to request one

Write in through support before doing anything else, and include three things.

  • The Tebex order reference from your confirmation email, which is what ties the payment to the grant on your Cfx.re account.
  • What went wrong, in plain terms, with the exact console output if there is any.
  • What you already tried, including which framework and server artifact you are running.

Most reports that start as refund requests turn out to be install problems with a fix, so it is worth running the checks on the support page first. If there is a fix, you keep the resource and it works. If there is not, the request moves on with everything already written down.

How an approved refund is paid

Tebex is the merchant of record, so Tebex processes the refund, not Redox Scripts. It goes back to the payment method used for the order, and how long it takes to show up depends on your bank or payment provider rather than on the store. Any tax collected on the order is handled by Tebex as part of the same refund.

When a refund is issued, the licence ends and the escrow grant is removed from the Cfx.re account it was issued to. The resource has to come off any server running it.

Chargebacks

Opening a chargeback with your bank instead of a refund request revokes the licence. The grant is removed from the account, the resource may no longer be used, and future orders may be declined. A chargeback also takes the decision away from a person who could otherwise have fixed the problem or approved the refund outright.

If you believe an order on your statement was not made by you, say so in the request. Unauthorised charges are treated as their own case and handled with Tebex.

Getting in touch

Refund requests and questions about this policy go to the same place. The support page lists whichever channels are live. While none are published, reply to the Tebex order confirmation email from your purchase and quote the order reference in it. The terms of service cover what the licence itself grants.
